Lucia is an amazing photographer based out of Madrid, Spain. I was inspired by her friendly and approachable personality, her love of vintage camera equipment, and her beautiful photographs. The mark is drawn by hand, giving it that personal and human touch. It’s versatile, so that it can be used as a seal or stamp on photographs, packages, etc. And, it is simple, so that her beautiful photographs remain the main focus.

The Urban series is wide open as far as concept goes. This is where the artist is free to do something unrelated to Disney, which is fun and somewhat challenging at the same time. For this Urban 6 figure I chose to go with something that I personally liked and that I thought was visually appealing. I really like the way some old cameras look. In the last few years, my dad, who shares this love with me has passed his and his dad's camera equipment to me. Among the items I got was this vintage light meter that belonged to my grandfather. I used this as inspiration for the design of the figure. All the numbers match the original light meter, with the exception of the numbers on his right arm. That is secret code!
The figure was produced as a Limited Edition of 800 and was released on May 20th. It's available at D-Street.
Before this re-design, Disney had released two rounds of their Tea product under different branding and packaging without success. When I was approached with this project I thought the best way to connect the product with the market audience was to use Alice in Wonderland as the theme. The brand I developed is classy and adult, while keeping within the true spirit of the characters from Alice in Wonderland. I hired Greg Ehrbar for the fun writing on the tins, and Mark Marderosian for the illustrations.
Under the new branding, tea became the #1 sold product in consumables at the Walt Disney World Resort. It continues to sell, more than 10 years later.
